Chief of the Air Staff
The Chief of the Air Staff is the highes ranking officer of the Virtual Royal Canadian Air Force. He or she shall be responsible for the overall operation and administration of the entire force. This position shall be held concurrently with that of the Commander, Royal Canadian Air Force, which hold operational command authority. Persons appointed to this position shall hold the rank of vO-9 (vGeneral) during the entirety of his or her tenure.

Deputy Chief of Air Staff (Personnel)
The Deputy Chief of Air Staff for Personnel oversees all matters related to manpower, human resources, and career management within the RCAFv. This officer manages assignments, promotions, evaluations, and discipline, ensuring personnel readiness across all wings. The position also directs the Air Personnel Management Command and serves as principal advisor to the Chief of the Air Staff on personnel and welfare issues.

Deputy Chief of Air Staff (Cyber Operations)
The Deputy Chief of Air Staff for ICEIS & Cyber is responsible for information/cyber/electronic-warfare systems matters and, upon activation of 3 Canadian Space Division by order of Commander RCAFv, serves as its Commander. Held concurrently with the A2 (Intelligence & Security) appointment.

Deputy Chief of Air Staff (Air Operations & Plans)
The Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations is administratively responsible for the daily operations of the RCAFv. The DCSO is responsible for determining operational requirements, activities, capabilities and training necessary to support RCAFv operations. The DCSO is also responsible for the development and maintenance of the RCAFv's operational plans and policies. Also serves operationally as Commander, 1 Canadian Air Division.

Assistant Chief of Staff (Logistics & Resource Mgt)
The Assistant Chief of Staff for Logistics and Asset Management manages the supply chain, maintenance, transportation, engineering, and materiel support across the RCAFv. This officer also serves as Commander, 8 Wing Trenton, responsible for logistics operations, air mobility, and sustainment activities. The position ensures all air operations remain fully supported with reliable assets and resources.

Deputy Chief of Air Staff (Training, Evaluation & Doctrine)
The Deputy Chief of Air Staff for Training oversees all training, education, and professional development within the RCAFv. Serving concurrently as Commander, 2 Canadian Air Division, this officer ensures that pilot and technical training programs meet established standards and support operational readiness. The position manages schools, syllabi, and qualification pipelines to maintain excellence in aircrew and support personnel development.

Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff & VATSIM Liasion
The Special Assistant to the Chief of the Air Staff serves as senior advisor and liaison to external organizations, most notably VATSIM. This officer provides counsel on air operations policy, diplomacy, and network coordination, representing the RCAFv in inter-organizational matters. The position bridges the command staff with the broader virtual aviation community to ensure operational and regulatory alignment.
